The polyester resin with medium reactivity for general use. This polyester resin can be put in contact with foodstuffs. It is necessary to allow 3 weeks to dry at ambient temperature, so that the styrene is well evaporated. Even though polyester resin is a rigid resin, it is characterized by its good elasticity, what makes it suitable for the preparation of laminates which must be submitted to mechanical requirements. Since polyester resin is a pre-accelerated, thixotropic resin, it is characterized by its high strength retention, what makes the resin appropriate for vertical, inclined applications. Moreover, the resin provides an optimum fiber impregnation as well as fast curing cycle with low peak exotherm temperatures.
Instructions of use: The polyester resin can be used for moulding, spraying or impregnation. Add 1.5% of PMEC to the resin, mix carefully to achieve an even mixture. Apply the resin to the fabric to be impregnated. The resin impregnates glass fabrics very rapidly.
